Where to Stay

Near the Wedding Venue: Gwanghwamun / Cityhall

Beautiful old palaces with a 600-year history located in the middle of a forest of buildings. This is the Bride's favorite areas in Seoul!! Old palaces, traditional Hanok Village, and Mix of Modern buildings

We recommend:

  1. Modern & Affordable: Shilla Stay Shilla Stay
  1. Modern & Affordable: Ninetree Insadong
  1. Traditional Korean Style Hotel: Rakkojae Hanok
  1. THE PLAZA Seoul, Autograph Collection
  1. High-end 5 star Hotel: Four seasons Hotel Four Seasons

All about Shopping & Food: Myeongdong

If a bit further from the venue is acceptable, the Myeongdong area would be a great choice. It is a popular shopping district for foreigners with many hotels and restaurants. It is just a short walk away from the palaces.

We recommend:

  1. Aloft Seoul Myeongdong
  1. Hotel28 Myeondong
  1. Le Méridien Seoul, Myeongdong

Youthful Nightlife: Hongdae/Shinchon

This is the area where we met and where the groom lived for 3 years! Hongdae is a popular area for young people with cafes, bars, and clubs. It is nestled near 5 universities (Hongdae is short for 'Hongik Daehakyo' or Hongik University), so there is plenty of affordable eating and fun. We spent a lot of time here!

The area can be separated into a few sections:

We recommend:

  1. Ryse, Autograph Collection: Ryse
  1. L7 Hongdae
  1. Holiday Inn Hongdae

There's also plenty of guesthouses and cheaper hotels in the area. A night can easily be under $50 USD.
